| In november 2005 vond Paul Zelders het tijd worden informatie en muziek van de Circus Square Jazz Band (CSJB) van vóór 1975 in een aparte website kenbaar te maken. Veel CSJB fans van dit moment weten weinig of misschien wel niets over het feit dat de band, een paar gedwongen pauzes daargelaten, al meer dan een halve eeuw “aan de weg timmert” en nog steeds aktief is. Voor bandinformatie op deze website is Paul in het verleden gedoken en heeft naast deze gegevens ook van o.a. radio-uitzendingen uit de zestiger jaren twee CD’s samengesteld (Zie CD’s voor Fans). Hoi Paul,
ik heb ‘n aantal muziek stukken van jouw Cd’s afgespeeld en naar mijn mening goed geluid.
Verder probeer ik de geluidskaart te kontroleren.
Zodra ik meer weet laat ik dat horen.

Hallo Paul,
die Hamburger Canal Street Band finde ich sehr originell. Man sollte wirklich so lange wie möglich bei einer Richtung bleiben, dann hat man auch eine treue Zuhörerschaft. Die Frage ist nur, wie es in 20 Jahren mit dem Oldtime jazz aussieht. Die unter 60jährigen interessieren sich nicht mehr für Oldtime.
In Stolberg versucht FranznLudwig Dahmen in dieselbe Richtung zu gehen wie die Hamburger. Er spielt hauptsächlich Stücke, die vor 1900 entstanden sind.

thanks for the really fine collection of »contemporary traditional jazz«. may be there will come the time, to find in your list Kid Ory, George Lewis, Louis Armstrong, Arne Bue and also some of the english new orleans style tradionalists. for example Sammy Rimmington. if I can help you, let me know. it is indeed a very good idea. thanks for your work.

I receive your website’s announcements on a regular basis. Today I spent time to look through it all. You have done a fantastic job. Hopefully enough folks come in and see and learn what our beautiful music in all its musical shapes is all about.
Especially the incredible amount of choices that can be found on page 10 must have cost you a lot of time….and it is growing
Hope you keep it going.
I dearly remember coming together in the eighties, Circus Square in Canada as our guests and we Climax in Zuid Limburg in the Netherlands as yours. Darn good old times!

Major changes are made on so called (static) pages. These kind of changes are not embedded in the rss feed.
